How We Built This
…together
Since our work in the 2020–2021 season was shared digitally through the internet, let’s take a moment to consider the legacies of colonization embedded within the technologies, structures, and ways of thinking we use every day. We are using equipment and high-speed internet, not available in many rural and Indigenous communities. Even the technologies that are central to us right now, leave significant carbon footprints, contributing to changing climates that disproportionately affect Indigenous peoples worldwide.
This land acknowledgment builds on the work of SpiderWebShow and FOLDA (Festival of Live Digital Art).
