We are big fans of American Theatre Wing’s Downstage Center podcasts at Emerson Stage and the Performing Arts Department. The podcasts bring us interviews with some of the greatest theatre practitioners of our time, who discuss their work with candor and passion. An excellent resource for young artists (the podcasts is even required listening in some classes).
As we prepare to open She Loves Me tomorrow night, it is only fitting to listen to one of America’s great lyricists, Sheldon Harnick. Harnick is the lyricist of She Loves Me and a long-time collaborator with She Loves Me composer, Jerry Bock. Harnick and Bock are perhaps best known for Fiddler on the Roof.
