Stardate 1/20/11

Hello my little gazelles,

Is everyone well rested from their winter break? Good, because this semester is going to make The Fast and the Furious, look like a ride on the green line in winter. The Golden Age is just a tiny little show with a small cast. HA HA! I hope everyone gets a ticket because you are going to see a serious amount of costumes. (And I hear there’s acting, sets and lights too!) Angela and Elvira who are assisting Molly Trainor the designer for The Golden Age are so organized that I think one of these days they are going to make us all stand in height order to do our work. I get to be first!!

The shop is currently in high gear, so be careful when you are walking by, we may just put you to work! 🙂

Every semester I teach Stagecraft: Costume Construction, the final project is to make pants. My classes always make me so proud with their newly acquired skills. Here’s a picture of them showing off.

Everyone will want to stop by and see the costumes from last semester that we have on display in the front window. Why? Well because they are fanfreakingtastic!! Stay tuned for next week, when I will be posting all about X dance. Have you ever seen a bubble dress? Well you will!
