Punk Rock Opera House

Broadway Across America opens the National Tour of American Idiot last night in Boston. American Idiot is a 2010 Tony Award nominated Broadway musical based on punk rock band Green Day’s album of the same name.
American Idiot will have a day-of-performance ticket lottery for $28 seats in the first two rows while at Boston’s Opera House through January 29.
On Broadway, American Idiot was not without an Emersonian in its ranks. Alumnus Miguel Cervantes ‘99 was in the original Broadway cast. He is now appearing in Giant, the new musical by composer Michael John LaChiusa, at the Dallas Theater Center.
