325 Playwrights Interviewed and Counting…
I must thank Twitter again (follow me at @tylerlyork and Emerson Stage at @emstage) for pointing me in the direction of some interesting work that I may never have otherwise discovered. Today brought me to a welcome and relevant blog from Adam Szymkowicz, a playwright whose work has been presented or developed at such places as MCC Theater, Ars Nova, South Coast Rep, The New Group, Primary Stages, Playwrights Horizons, LAByrinth Theater Company, Southern Rep, The Lark, Kitchen Dog Theatre of Note, and Studio Dante among others.
Adam has accomplished a grand thing by conducting 325 interviews with playwrights for his blog. Given the proximity in time to Emerson’s NewFest celebration that includes Chops, the Playwright Forum, and NewFest Readings 2011.
